National Tourist Association

National Tourist Association (NTA) is Slovenian Tourist Business Association that was founded on 16 December 1993 with the aim to promote tourism in Slovenia as its strategic developmental opportunity. The Association performs activities of public interest in Slovenia and abroad. It has got a status of body governed by public law. Lately, NTA has been very active in the field of EU projects and cooperation on EU level.
NTA Programme Orientation
- • to accelerate the development of tourism-related trade, know-how, and the use of modern technology,
- • to encourage the development of supreme quality services, competitive offer and excellence in tourism,
- • to introduce international standards and criteria applied in the European Union
- • to develop a dialogue between tourist trade and Slovene economy, government and politics.

- • seminars, lectures and thematic meetings with domestic and foreign experts,
- • meetings and conferences,
- • projects promoting high-quality excellence in tourism,

- • establishment of INTERNATIONAL TOURISM INSTITUTE, specialised in tourism analysis, economic analysis, market analysis, development, planning and training,
- • participation in national projects, international projects and European Union programmes, cooperation with and membership in various international tourism associations and organisations.
